So our dear friend Zach Smith is an extremely talented photographer (Z Michael Studios). He came over a few weeks ago, and Maggie had her first photo shoot at 5 1/2 weeks. Zach and his wife,
Chelsey (a fellow Samford Grad) were so much fun to shoot with! They are great friends and we are so blessed to be in a small group with them. Thanks for the great photos!

Maggie is just smiling all the time!
The Lord has blessed us with a healthy little girl who we love so much, and it's just a constant reminder of His great love when she laughs or smiles and shows those little gums of hers.
When we are having our four a.m. feeding, it's hard to not start to play with the giggling little girl, but I know the more I interact with her the more she will wake up....and at 4 in the morning, I want her to go back to sleep as quickly as possible! But my favorite time with her is after her 7 am feeding when she has gotten the most rest and has a fully tummy. She just laughs away!
I want to share a verse the Lord uses in my life on a daily basis to help me get through the dirty diapers, feedings, cleaning, cooking, etc.
"But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me." 2 Corn. 12:9

Last Christmas ('08) our friends Cam and Luke told us they were pregnant with their first child. We were so excited for them, but thought we would be years behind them in having our first child. Well....March 2009 we found out we were pregnant. One week to the day of telling Cam and Luke and our other friends Bradley and Lea that we were expecting, Bradley and Lea announced the pregnancy of their first!!!! WOW!!! All three of us were having our first babies together! Jack and I were so thankful to be going through this exiting life change with some of our best friends (the Lord's timing is so perfect!).
Andie Addison was born on August 5th. Bennett Moore was born on November 22.
We can't wait for them to start playing together and become friends!!!
Thank you to Jarred Griffin and Kelly Towne for coming to stay with us and meeting Maggie. Jarred was here on Monday night and Kelly was here on Tuesday night. It was great fun for Jack and me to catch up with old college friends and for them to meet our little baby girl! Jarred's mom made Maggie the sweetest pink smock dress...it's beautiful. Kelly stitched a "M" into a pink onesie. Kelly is waiting on her own little ball of pink joy to arrive (her sister Emily is having a little girl any day now!!!). It has been a week full of fun with old friends!

Jack has been the best dad ever! He just loves Maggie so much and is such a huge help with her! He will take care of her so I can get out and have lunch with friends or run to the store. It's always a surprise when I get back to hear what has happened - she has spit up all over the place, or maybe rolled over, or the best is if she has had a bad diaper:)
Really, the Lord has blessed me with Jack as a husband and now the father of my sweet little girl! He is great with her and she responds to him and knows who he is. He holds her when he comes home for lunch and then for most of the evening when he gets home from work...he is great!

Over Christmas we were able to spend some time with Kate and Carson in Macon. Everyone says she looks like Jack, but I like to say she looks more like Kate since she's a girl:) We watched some home videos of Kate as an infant and they look like twins! It's crazy! Watching the video was like watching Maggie. Here's Maggie with her Aunt Kate (and little cousin on his/her way). Also, I am putting a picture of Kate in the hospital right after she was born (I know Nancy won't be happy about the picture of her, but it's the only one I have of Kate as a baby!).
