Head Count

The percentages are in! Maggie's weight is in the 75th, her length is the 50th, and her head is in the top 97th! Yes, 97% of babies have a smaller head than Maggie:)
Here she is saying, "Daddy, why do I have such a big head?" And her Uncle Carson wanted to make sure that was okay...yes, it's just a big head!

Happy 1st Birthday

Although today is Maggie's real Birthday, we celebrated yesterday. It was the morning after Thanksgiving that we called everyone, from the hospital, telling them to head over to Columbus...Maggie was on her way!

The Friday after Thanksgiving, Nov. 27th, Maggie was born! Praise God for a beautiful little girl we love so dearly! We are so thankful for our little sunshine!

This was her birthday morning, watching Curious George...

Thanksgiving Day

"For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation." Colossians 1:9-15

Let the Holidays Begin!

This past weekend Maggie and Jack had daddy/daughter time. I went to Atlanta to start my Christmas shopping. Jack took Maggie to Waffle House for supper on Friday and then the Georgia Tech game on Saturday (what a brave man!).

Tonight we went to Callaway Gardens to kick off the Holiday Season with Fantasy in Lights.
Although we are a few days early (we don't start the Christmas Season until the Sunday after Thanksgiving)...
Maggie loved the Christmas lights!
It will be so fun to watch her through this wonderful time of year!

Where's Maggie?

Jack and I had our first weekend without Maggie. We left her in Macon with Mia and Papa and headed down to The Villages, Florida.
The rehearsal dinner for Kelly and Drew's wedding.
Not only was John Michael Montgomery a guest at the hotel, but so was President George W. Bush!
(Maggie, when you get older, ask daddy what happened to his autographed book)
The beautiful Bride.
Miss Kelly Elizabeth Towne
The ceremony.
Hanging out in the Tiki Hut
Jack and me at the reception (44 hours without Mags).
My dearest and best friends from Samford.
The Whole Gang
Our Significant Others:
Grant, Matt, Tim, and Jack
What a great weekend, but I was counting down the hours until I held Maggie again!

You Are My Sunshine...

In twenty days Maggie will be a YEAR old!!! It's crazy to think back on a year...how uncomfortable I was, how ready I was to meet my little girl, how she moved so much in my stomach!
Now, at almost a year, I am finally weaning her, she is about to walk, she loves eating solid foods. Her laugh and interaction with me is so fun! I PRAISE God for the child He has entrusted to me.
"For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother's womb."
Psalm 139:13
A song I sing to her, a song that embodies what she is...
"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are gray
You'll never know dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away"
