Four Christmases

Christmas Eve Service at Ingleside Baptist Church

The live nativity included a camel that Maggie was able to pet.

At my parent's house she enjoyed the horse and buffalo (not pictured).

One of her favorite gifts came from Aunt Steph.

Christmas Eve

We are packing up and heading to Macon this week, so tonight we celebrated our Christmas Eve because tomorrow we are celebrating our Christmas!

Here is Maggie showing off her Christmas pajamas.
Here were are listening to Jack read the Christmas story out of Luke.
Maggie already showing her excitement for the wrapping paper:)
After she went to bed, we began the set up for Christmas morning...
Her big gift is a basketball goal!
10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. Luke 2:10-11

All I Want for Christmas...

...is my two front teeth.
Maggie loves the Nativity set my family gave her for her birthday.
She plays with it all day long!

She loves to stare at the wall of Christmas cards...
...and her new nighttime pjs.
Also, we are reading from Nancy Guthrie's Come Thou Long Expected Jesus. Here is a quote from one of our readings...
"...let your time be spent in thinking and talking of the love of Jesus, who was incarnate for us, who was born of a woman, and made under the law to redeem us from the wrath to come." George Whitefield

A Few Christmas Firsts...

Although this is Maggie's second Christmas, it seems like a first for a lot of things..
First time she helped pick out the tree (last year she was in my tummy).
First time she woke up to a tree full of lights in the middle of the den.
First time she noticed all the different things in the house.
And first time she put HER ornament on the tree.
It's our new family tradition that we go through the special ornaments and talk about when and why we bought/were given them. Mia gave Maggie her first Christmas ornament last year for her first Christmas.

This is What Happens...

...when you have a sick child! Maggie has been sick all week AND she had four shots on Tuesday. So, I have been a little lenient with her.

Head Count

The percentages are in! Maggie's weight is in the 75th, her length is the 50th, and her head is in the top 97th! Yes, 97% of babies have a smaller head than Maggie:)
Here she is saying, "Daddy, why do I have such a big head?" And her Uncle Carson wanted to make sure that was okay...yes, it's just a big head!

Happy 1st Birthday

Although today is Maggie's real Birthday, we celebrated yesterday. It was the morning after Thanksgiving that we called everyone, from the hospital, telling them to head over to Columbus...Maggie was on her way!

The Friday after Thanksgiving, Nov. 27th, Maggie was born! Praise God for a beautiful little girl we love so dearly! We are so thankful for our little sunshine!

This was her birthday morning, watching Curious George...
...watching the Iron Bowl with Daddy.
