Mother's Day

Mother's Day has never had such meaning as it does this year with a five month old...what a blessing! What a blessing to be able to carry Maggie for nine months, give birth to her, and now raise her.

I am often reminded that we are chosen by God to care for HIS child for a short time. Maggie is his daughter and it is HIS plan for her life that will preserve and protect her over this earthly life...Praise God!

This Mother's Day, here are my prayers:
Those who have lost their own mother - For some reason God has called her home...the loss you feel is unknown to me, but my prayer is you can share the love with others that she shared with you.
13 She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. 14 She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar. 15 She gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family, and portions for her servant girls. 16 She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. 17 She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. 18 She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night. 19 In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers. 20 She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. 21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
Proverbs 31
Those who have lost a child - This pain is unimaginable to me, but I unfortunately know many, too many, women who grieve a beautiful daughter or handsome son. Some of you were never blessed to know your child, only to carry them for months, some knew their child for 18 years...no time is enough and no parent should ever have to bury a child. To these moms, I pray you can rest in God's peace.

Sisters in Christ who are praying to be a mom - The Lord's plan is a mystery to us at times, but He has an amazing plan for you and I pray you will continue to hope in Him and wait for His plan to unfold in His timing.
11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

For those who are pregnant and waiting the arrival of that first little peanut, being a mom is GREAT! Soak up every minute you can!

For those already moms...thank you for all those diapers you change, noses you wipe, clothes you wash, times you have held your little one with a fever, and many many more things you have done...what a blessing to be able to care for your child!

What a blessing Mother's Day is for me this year... 4 Generations - my mom, grandmother, and Maggie.
