Nothing out of the Ordinary

Just a clip from Maggie's bath time tonight...

Also, I wanted to share a verse from my study on the book of Job we are going through in the women's Bible Study,

"I know my Redeemer lives and that in the end He will stand upon the earth." Job 19:25

Partying from Morning to Night

This past week we had Leah over one morning to give her mom a break (Anna is pregnant with two little twin girls).

I fed Maggie breakfast before hand, but she thought she would eat a second breakfast (like the Hobbits in Lord of the Rings).

Here they are ready to head out in their matching little outfits...

Here they are on the way home...

The next night Andie came over...
...it was bedtime and they were both ready to go "night, night".

They finished off the night with their sippie cups of milk.

"It is Finished..."

I feel like the past month has been a whirlwind! We own two homes in two different cities, we have a one year old, and some other obstacles in our life. "The Lord remains faithful", 2 Timothy 2:13, continues to ring in my head as I battle unbelief.

Also, the Lord has given me an old hymn that I sing daily (often multiple times a day), it takes me back to the Gospel...a reminder that it has already been completed! The war is over and WON!

It Is Finished (Part 2)

Hark, the voice of love and mercy

Sounds aloud from Calvary

See, it rends the rock asunder

Shakes the earth and veils the sky

“It is finished, it is finished,” hear the dying Savior cry

“It is finished, it is finished,” hear the dying Savior cry

“It is finished,” o what pleasure

Do these charming words afford

Heavenly blessings, without measure

Flow to us from Christ the Lord

“It is finished, it is finished,” saints the dying words record

“It is finished, it is finished,” saints the dying words record

Finished all the types and shadows

Of the ceremonial law

Finished all that God had promised

Death and hell no more shall awe

“It is finished, it is finished,” saints from hence your comfort draw

“It is finished, it is finished,” saints from hence your comfort draw

Tune your harps, anew, ye seraphs

Join to sing the pleasing theme

Saints on earth and all in heaven

Join to praise Immanuel’s name

Hallelujah, hallelujah Glory to the bleeding lamb!

Hallelujah, hallelujah Glory to the bleeding lamb!

This is Maggie enjoying a bowl of CHEERIOS and a movie while we ran around like crazy people getting the house ready for an open house. And yes, I am letting her watch a movie (Cinderella...an all time classic:).

Joseph's Spirit Week

My brother had his last Spirit Week last week. Maggie and I went and saw the final pep rally. It was fun to take her back to my old Day School!

She did not know what to think of Uncle Joe.

A glimpse into FPD's Spirit Week...

A Day of Mixed Emotions

It's official! Our house is on the market. Maggie was so excited to see the sign...

...then she realized it meant we will be leaving Columbus:(

She recovered quickly when she started to work on her lap top.

When Winnie the Pooh came out to play, she "luuuved on him".

The night ended with a good cup of milk and her Little Mermaid pajamas.

A Play Date with Will

Maggie and Will had a fun play date this afternoon...
She loves to pose for pictures with her friends!

She kept hugging Will and patting his little head.
Jack was home to play with the two of them and Will thought he was hilarious.
Finally, she has a top tooth coming into her little gums.

The National Championship, a Pot of JW Chili, and lots of Friends

The thing we will miss most about leaving Columbus is all of our wonderful friends! Last night we had 20 people over to watch the National Championship. John Wayne Anderson made his famous chili. Needless to say Maggie did not sleep too long with all of the cheering and talking going on...

Every time people started cheering or yelling she resorted to her fish face.
Andie saying:
"I am still awake at 12:15am! War Eagle!"
They were so excited to watch the game together!

Monday Morning

For those reading our blog up north...this snow day has the whole town shut down:) I'm sure y'all must think it is crazy to cancel work and school and shut down stores and business over this.
On this beautiful snow day, I am thankful for a quiet house as Maggie is sleeping in and Jack went back to bed after getting ready for work (which was canceled at 6:30am). All I hear is the sound of the washer and dryer (Monday is laundry day) and the snow melting as freezing rain pours down.
I have spent some time reading through the Psalms this morning and wanted to share part of Psalm 19 with you...
"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands... The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul... May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer." parts of Psalm 19

A New Home

Maggie is loaded up and ready to go to Macon...
...to close on our NEW home!!!!
We closed on our new home yesterday! At some point (after we sell our house here in Columbus), we will be packing up and heading to Macon to start a new stage of life.
We covet your prayers over the next year with so many changes - selling our home, moving to Macon, Jack's new job at Pyles' Plumbing.

3 By wisdom a house is built,
and through understanding it is established;
4 through knowledge its rooms are filled
with rare and beautiful treasures.
