Update from the Beach

Maggie is at the beach! Here are some snapshots from her first day on the beach...

***Please notice the blue hat that she is wearing:)
She didn't really know what to think about the sand, but it was nice and relaxing to be on the beach.

She was the best sport as we took pictures on the beach. Right after these pictures, she face planted in the sand.

Here is Maggie in the pool. She loved just sitting back and relaxing. It was so sweet to watch!

5 Months

She is 5 Months today! What a blessed five months! Unfortunately I cannot find my camera cord to give photos or videos, but here is what's going on...

She is "scootching". I lay her on a big blanket in the den; I leave the room for a minute; I come back to find her on the opposite side of the blanket trying to eat the chair.

She is teething. Not much exciting about this except the end result of beautiful teeth one day!

She had crupe last week. Because of all the pollen, our house was hit bad by cases of sneezing, runny noses, and slight coughs. She had to sleep propped up for several nights and I had to clean out her nose with "Little Noses".

More to come (hopefully a video or so when I find the camera cord)...

Uncle Joe

Wednesday we traveled to Macon to see, my brother, Joseph compete in his track meet at FPD. Here is Maggie watching him compete in the Pole Vault event...
He had his best height - clearing 10 feet (I believe).
He also ran several track events.

We stayed in Macon for the rest of the week. Maggie enjoyed posing for the camera while we stayed at the Pyles'.

This evening we meet up with Joseph and his girlfriend, Jojo, to take some pictures before FPD's Prom.

Maggie got a little sleepy. I guess she had a busy day and it's hard work smiling for pictures!

Rolling Over

Last Monday, a week ago, Maggie rolled from her back to her stomach for the first time. Well, she has not stopped doing it since! When we go to get her out of her crib, she is on her stomach. When we lay her on her play mats, she rolls to her stomach. She loves seeing the world from a new perspective!

Here is a quick clip from today. She is not her usual jolly self because of teething, but I wanted to share this with everyone.

Birmingham

This past week we traveled to Birmingham to meet up with my friend, Sarah Jean, who flew in from Bradenton.

I guess I bite off more than I could chew - traveling with a four month old for three days and four nights. Maggie could not have been better! It was just exhausting not having Jack to help me with diaper changes and holding her. But it was so great for her to meet Sarah Jean! We also spent time with Katie, Grant, Laura, Betsie, Aunt Steph, Uncle Carson, Hunter, even Jarred made an appearance while driving through B'ham.

Well, I hate to say that I neglected to take any pictures!!! The only two I have are ones SJ took with her camera phone...

Easter Weekend

Maggie celebrated her first Easter weekend.

Good Friday - We attended our Church's Good Friday service at noon. This was a great time to stop in my busy day and reflect, pray, and sing in remembrance of why we celebrate the Resurrection...because there was a death.

When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, "It is finished," and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. - John 19:30

Later that day we traveled to Macon...

Saturday - Maggie attended her first picnic in Washington Park.

We tried to take some good pictures, but Maggie was a little on the tired side...
...so she took a nap with her Papa.

We stopped by the Shimp household to visit...
[Alex(left), Will(right), Kelly(top)]

...then a stop by my house.

She was putting on a show and just laughing and laughing!

Easter Morning - We attended First Pres. in Macon.
"He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay."
- Matthew 28:6

Maggie's beautiful Easter dress was made by Aunt Brenda.

Later that day we attended lunch at my grandparent's house and then an Easter egg hunt at Granny's house. Here is our little Easter egg...
